We worked alongside Novu Office, a leader in Switzerland in the furniture-as-a-service sector, to launch Novu Cycle, a multi-vendor marketplace for second-life office furniture. The platform brings together sellers and buyers, enhancing sustainable distribution and connecting eco-conscious companies.

The Challenge

Novu Cycle started as a Shopify MVP but needed transformation into a robust, automated platform to handle multi-vendor requirements. Key goals included seamless role-switching for buyers and sellers, a secure escrow-based payment system with customizable payouts, and compliance with Swiss VAT standards.

The Solution

Our approach focused on scalability, automation, and user-centric design:

Dual-Purpose User Profiles: We enabled unified user accounts for buyers and sellers, simplifying navigation and profile management.
Secure Payment Automation: Implemented an escrow payment system with mass payout capabilities for corporate sellers and instant payouts for individuals.
Advanced Communication Tools: Integrated real-time chat and automated notifications to improve communication between parties.
Compliance: Ensured adherence to VAT and regional compliance.
